Intestinal Gas - A Real Pain!
If you've ever suffered from the embarrassment of a gassy gut at an inconvenient time, you know how awful that can be... not to mention the discomfort and even pain that excess abdominal gas can give you!
There are a few things you can to do drastically decrease the gas your gut produces and they aren't that difficult. Here are a few:
- Don't overeat. Stuffing yourself is a good way to develop gas! Eat slowly and pay attention to your body's signals that you've had enough.
- Decrease sugary foods. Believe it or not, even too much healthy fruit can cause increased gas because of the fructose or fruit sugar. Fermentation of this sugar in your digestive tract may give you more gas than usual. It helps to eat fruit on it's own.
- Do rich foods not agree with you? You may want to consider cutting down on fatty, greasy foods. This could help decrease belching and wind significantly.
